Protecting your data is important to us.
We strive to provide high-quality training based on the latest scientific evidence. However, please note that the training programs developed by Rx Continue are not exhaustive and do not replace the user's clinical judgment. Rx Continue cannot be held liable for clinical decisions made by healthcare professionals. Users are therefore responsible for exercising critical judgment regarding the information presented in the various learning activities.
1. Data Location and Hosting
We use Google Cloud (Firebase) infrastructure for website hosting, database management, and authentication. These services may process technical data, such as your IP address, for security and performance purposes. Access to data is restricted to company administrators only. No information will be shared with a third party without your consent.
- Database (Profiles and progress): Your user account information is hosted in Quebec (Region: northamerica-northeast1, Montreal).
- Educational Content: Course files (videos, PDFs) are hosted in the United States (Region: us-central1, South Carolina). These files do not contain any personal information.
- Authentication Service: To ensure secure access, the following login credentials are processed on secure servers in the United States:
- Email Registration: Email, user ID, and password (the latter is protected by cryptographic hashing protocols and remains inaccessible to Rx Continue).
- Google Registration: Email, name, and user ID (please note that Rx Continue does not use your Google profile picture).
2. Data Collection and Use
We only collect the information necessary to provide you with an optimal and compliant training experience:
- Identification and Validation: First name, last name, email, license number, province, and profession (to validate eligibility for training credits and to avoid duplicate accounts).
- Communications: Your email is used to respond to your requests via the 'Contact' page, for the automated sending of your certificates of completion, and for our newsletters if you have subscribed.
- Training Synchronization: We collect data regarding your module progress to synchronize your advancement across your different devices.
- Functional and Statistical Data: Province, workplace, account creation method, creation date, and the source of your discovery of the site are used for internal statistics and platform optimization.
3. Local Storage Technologies
We use your browser's Local Storage to ensure smooth video playback. This allows us to remember your position in a video without slowing down your navigation.
4. Your Rights and Contact Information
In accordance with Law 25 (Quebec), you have the right to access, rectify, and delete your data. For any request concerning:
- Receiving a copy of your data (portability);
- The permanent deletion of your account;
- The withdrawal of your consent for the processing of your information;
- The correction of certain information registered in your account.
